Beford Girls’ School will this week be celebrating national recognition for achieving the Onslow Trust’s highest accolade, the E2E Gold Award. The award, presented in recognition of outstanding careers provision, highlights the excellence and innovation offered to the pupils of Bedford Girls’ School.
Laura Longstaff from Bedford Girls’ explained, “As a girls’ school, we promote role models of successful women, especially alumni who are keen to return to share their experiences with current pupils. We have a strong tradition of girls going into perceived ‘male’ careers such as engineering; an all girls’ environment allows our pupils the freedom to choose freely without influences of stereotyping.”
Danielle Robyn, CEO of the Onslow Trust, had the pleasure of accrediting the school early this week. "Reviewing the application submitted by Bedford Girls’ School reinforced the importance of innovation in careers education. Skills building is such an important role of any school, and Beford Girls’ School go above and beyond to provide opportunities and experience for their girls, from Year 7 to Upper Sixth Form and beyond."
